Aurora Aksnes was born on June 15th, 1996 in Stavanger and is known professionally as Aurora sometimes stylized in uppercase in the form of AURORA is an Norwegian music producer and singer. Her debut E.P. Running with the Wolves was released through the label Decca Records in May 2015 receiving great approval from bloggers as well as the press. Half the World Away, by the Oasis band to promote John Lewis Christmas advertisements and Nature Boy, by Nat King Cole are two of her most renowned covers. She began playing the piano when she was just six years old, then began writing music at age nine. It wasn't known to her family about it until she reached 14. It was never a dream to turn into Aurora. She says she just likes to compose songs. To her, music is the best way for expressing anything.
