Aryna Sabalenka

Sabalenka's birthplace was Minsk which is located in Belarus. Sergey Sabalenka (d. 2019) is her hockey-playing father. Aryna Sabalenka was born in Minsk, Belarus on May 5 1998. In her career she has been awarded 12 WTA singles titles including a Grand Slam at the 2023 Australian Open. Doubles is an additional area in which she is a pro. The US Open 2019, and Australian Open 2021 were both played by Elise Mertens. Then she also won the Sunshine Double in 2019, taking the WTA 1000 at Indian Wells, Miami and the Australian Open alongside Elise Mertens. Four women's teams have achieved this achievement. On 23 August 2021 she climbed to the second spot in the singles world ranking her best ranking reached again in January 2023. In doubles however she pushed her way to the top at the beginning of February that year, following the win in Melbourne making her the second tennis player from Belarus to be a part of this specialty. Dmitry Tursunov was her coach from 2018, until her season came to an end in 2019. She also worked with him for a brief period at the start of 2020. Dieter Kindlmann was the coach for her from the month of August to September of 2020. As of the year 2020's end, she's been coaching by her fellow countryman Antonio Dubrov. Serena Williams, and Maria Sharapova are her idols.
